Also included are some ad hoc committees and some special committees; however, most special committees (i.e. nominating committees) are accessioned separately. Committees represented in the colleciton include : the Audit Committee, Buildings and Grounds Committee, Clinch Valley College Committee, Commencement and Convocation Committee, Educational Policy Committee (chiefly faculty issues including grievances), Executive Committee, External Affairs Committee (development and fund raising), Finance Committee and its Investment Subcommittee, Health Affairs Committee (medical center, medical research, medical school), Special Committee on Libraries, Long Range Plan Committee, Mary Washington College Committee, and the Student Affairs and Athletics Committee.
